As a part of the project “SUSTINEO – Through collaboration, participation, research and education to sustainability”, the fourth training-block of School for Sustainable Development 2021 was held in Šibenik on 16th and 17th of September, 2021.
25 participants, representatives of the project partners, were introduced to participatory local development planning, design thinking, social impact analysis and examples of good practice.
After Zagreb, Zlatna Greda and Dubrovnik, we traveled to Šibenik and visited the Center for New Technologies and Entrepreneurship Trokut.
Branka Tokić from ODRAZ gave a presentation on Strategic Forecasting. It is about thinking about the future with the purpose of making better decisions in the present. It allows us to position our organization / community to respond more easily and better to the challenges and uncertainties that the future brings.
In the afternoon part of the program, Lidija Pavić-Rogošić gave a presentation on Social Capital and Good Governance, after which we visited the Šibenik Fortress of Culture as an example of good practice of local sustainable development by revitalizing cultural heritage.
During the second day of the training, the participants got acquainted with the work of the SMART and ZvoniMir associations and the Slagalica Foundation. At the end of the day, we ended with a tour of the Center for New Technologies and Entrepreneurship Trokut, where we conducted a workshop.
