Conference on Digital Inclusion held in Zagreb
On 17 February 2022, ODRAZ representatives participated in a hybrid Conference on Digital Inclusion organized by the City of Zagreb and the Digital Literacy Development Network, of which ODRAZ is a member.
The program consisted of a series of thematic lectures on digital literacy and non-formal education, and presented the results of research on the needs of digital inclusion of vulnerable groups.
The presentation part of the conference began with a presentation by the founding director of the Estonian e-Government Academy. Ivar Tallo presented examples of the best European practice of digital transformation of public administration in Estonia.
After an inspiring presentation from Estonia, the Dean of Algebra, Mislav Balković, talked about non-formal learning in the function of digital literacy development, introducing participants to the social and economic context of education.
Riina Vuorikari and Stefano Kluzer presented a new version of the European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens DigComp 2.2 developed in collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Center and the All Digital DigComp Community of Practice.
Nikolina Žajdela Hrustek and Antonela Čižmešija from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics presented the results of research on the needs of digital inclusion of the elderly, people with disabilities, island residents and rural areas. This scientific research was conducted in the period from September to December 2021 as part of the above-mentioned project.
In the second part of the event, representatives of several Zagreb associations presented the needs and practice of digital inclusion of their members. The last part of the conference was dedicated to the topic of public policies.
