The third training-block of School for Sustainable Development 2021
As a part of the project “SUSTINEO – Through collaboration, participation, research and education to sustainability”, the third training-block of School for Sustainable Development 2021 was held in Dubrovnik on 1st and 2nd of July, 2021.
25 participants, representatives of the project partners, were introduced to participatory local development planning, design thinking, social impact analysis and examples of good practice.
After Zagreb and Zlatna Greda, we traveled to Dubrovnik and visited the association Deša in Lazareti. In the third block of education, through presentations, group work and discussion, participants learned about participatory local development planning and the basics of design thinking. At the end of the first day, we visited Dubrovnik City Walls.
During the second day of training in Dubrovnik, Mario Munta from the Faculty of Political Science gave a presentation on Social Impact Analysis. Lidija Pavić-Rogošić from ODRAZ presented Goal 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities as an introduction to the presentation on the Urbact program presented by Mario Žuliček from the Association of Cities in the Republic of Croatia, as well as examples of sustainable development of several Croatian cities. Finally, we heard an excellent example of activities in the local community from the association Deša.
