CSO participation in decision making processes on local level – research results

This publication contains research results on the implementation of The Code of Practice On Consultation with the Interested Public in Procedures of Adopting Laws, Other Regulations and Acts.

The aim was to examine the practice on consultation of making and monitoring of plans, programmes and other acts; to examine the perception of CSOs and local self-government about their mutual cooperation, as well as to give relevant recommendations for the improvement of the process.

We included five regions and 9 local self-governments: city of Zagreb, Zaprešić town  and Brdovec municipality (Zagrebačka county), city of Dubrovnik and Vela Luka municipality (Dubrovačko – neretvanska county), Čakovec town and Sv. Martin na Muri municipality (Međimurska county) and another two towns: Knin and Drniš (Šibensko-kninska county).

Project partners: EOL Čakovec, Europe House Dubrovnik, ZvoniMir Knin and Z.O.V. Zaprešić. The research was funded by the  National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
