As part of the project “STEM for a sustainable future” on 23 and 24 September 2021 was held the first training-block of STEM Academy.

The purpose of the project is to build the capacity of civil society organizations, students and other interested young people by using modern educational methods in the fields of STEM, STEAM, sustainable development, critical and creative thinking, etc.

We started the implementation of the STEM Academy by visiting examples of good practice – the inspiring and interesting space of the gaming company Nanobit, the largest Croatian company specializing in the development of mobile applications and games.

After Nanobit, we visited the Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technologies CRTA. It is a reference center for research, development and implementation of robotic systems in the Republic of Croatia. The CRTA Center is open to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and is intended for scientific research and students. The center integrates the Laboratory for Computer Intelligence, the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems and the Laboratory for Medical Robotics.

As part of the second day of training, ODRAZ Director Lidija Pavić-Rogošić gave presentations on the principles of sustainable development, Sustainable Development Goals, social capital and good governance.
