
The third training-block of STEM Academy was held in Šibenik
The third training-block of STEM Academy was held in Šibenik on 10 and 11th of February 2022 as a part of the project STEM for sustainable future. 17 representatives of the project partners participated. The goal of the training was to strengthen the capacities of the representatives of CSOs and the academic community for the popularization of STEM.
In the third block of education, through presentations and discussion, participants learned about critical thinking about the future and the method of strategic foresight presented by Branka Tokić from ODRAZ. The group work followed in which participants were thinking about relevance and level of awareness about trends in teaching, STEM and innovation and the impact on the comunity and youth.

Afterwards, participants visited St. Mihovil fortress which presents an innovative approach to digital content in fortresses by 3D video mapping projection techniques in a 15th century cistern.
On the second day, the emphasis was on new teaching methods. Enquiry-based learning as well as STEM projects on the Polytechnic of Šibenik was presented by Frane Urem. In the end, Petar Mišura from the City of Šibenik talked about the project of integrated mobility in the City of Šibenik. So far, the Poljana logistic center has been built and equipped. This is followed by the development of the application that will improve public transport services as well as procurement of buses, equipping bus stops and a study of organization and integration of public transport in Šibenik.
