Youth and sustainable development- New employment opportunities
Young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina through interactive workshops and transfer of good practice from Croatia were introduced to innovative ways of employment through social entrepreneurship and methods of using the knowledge and skills for sustainable development of their communities.
The project included the following activities:
There were two workshops:
- 17th-18th June in Sarajevo was the first two-day workshop “Youth in sustainable community development.” The workshop was attended by 21 young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- 15th-16th October in Zagreb and Čakovec the second two-day workshop was held. The workshop was attended by 23 young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- A set of panel presentation on the role of youth in sustainable development was held by Andrea Pandurić Ugrin Head of development and information services of the Volunteer Center Zagreb, Gabrijeal Martić member of the Board of the Croatian Youth Network and Morana Makovec Head of Youth services in the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth.
- The second day, the young people visited examples of good practice – ACT Group in Čakovec. Director of the ACT Group Teo Petricevic presented the participants work of the ACT group and social entrepreneurship as a form of entrepreneurship for young people. During the visit, the participants had the opportunity to see the work processes in ACT Printlab doo and the Social Cooperative “Humana Nova”.At the workshop ware presented the results of research “Youth and sustainable development in BiH”
- Action Research
- the online questionnaire “Youth and sustainable development in BiH”was made. Questionnaire was completed by 105 young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was processed and analyzed and a report was made.
