New challenge – Global Sustainable Development Goals until 2030
Short overview of the Global Sustainable Development Goals with the aim of informing citizens and interested stakeholders in Croatia about the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
ODRAZ published the eighth updated edition, in printed and electronic versions, of the publication in which we briefly presented Global Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by the UN in September 2015. We published this updated edition in cooperation with the Association of Cities, with special emphasis on localization of goals.
From its founding in the year 2000 until today, ODRAZ advocates, encourages actions and provides support to implementation of changes directed towards sustainability.
ODRAZ promotes principles of sustainable development, educates stakeholders from different parts of Croatia and from all of the sectors about the possibilities of their practical implementation, fosters gathering and joint efforts in the deliberation on and implementation of sustainable development in local communities.
We hope that this publication will be an incentive to Croatia to carry out a wide consultative process when determining “its own” goals and indicators for monitoring of their implementation, similar to one which United Nations carried out on the global level.
ODRAZ supports the Global Sustainable Development Goals and will continue to inform the relevant stakeholders and the wider public issues related to goals and the 2030 Agenda.
