Workshops for students – Space and organization of traffic in the City of Zagreb
Two cycles of interdisciplinary workshops for students on urban mobility and planning of public spaces in Zagreb were held in November and December, 2021. The workshop was organized by ODRAZ within the project “UrbanSTEM – for cities and communities of the future”.
Students had the possibility of practical work in small interdisciplinary groups on specific topics/problems related to revitalisation of public spaces in the city.
After the analysis of problems, the students continued to discuss and propose improvment measures for five selected areas in Zagreb.
The representatives of the students’ groups presented to the colleagues their thoughts, plans and visions of development, which they will have the opportunity to present on December 10 during the ODRAZ’s event on sustainable local development.
The workshop brought together 22 students from Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Geography of the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences and the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy.
In an interdisciplinary environment under the guidance of a professor mentors, students successfully proposed traffic and spatial solutions for selected areas in Zagreb.
