Workshop for the professors of Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Graphic Arts held in Zagreb
On 10 and 11 May 2019, at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb, we held a workshop “From idea to the project: project cycle management – logical framework approach” for professors of Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Graphic Arts University of Zagreb.
Through theoretical and practical work, participants were introduced to the project cycle management phases and gained the knowledge and skills to write the project proposal.
The objectives of the workshop were:
- Educate participants about Project Cycle Management
- Explain the preparation process for the project
- Explicitly explain the logical framework approach
- Explain the European Commission’s draft application form
- Present the basics of monitoring and evaluation
At the end of the training, the participants gained knowledge about the European approach to designing and developing the project, acquainted with all phases of project cycle management, gained a clear idea of how the logical framework approach could apply to their project idea and gained the knowledge and skills to write a project proposal on the given form.
The methodology used during the training, which included participatory approach to presentations, encouragement of discussion and feedback, and group and individual assignments, proved to be a good choice because participants through their own active inclusion and discussion were able to better master the presented themes.
The workshop is part of the project Leaps of knowledge – engaged community that will enable the students of Faculty of Economics and Business and Faculty of Graphic Arts University of Zagreb to acquire new knowledge and skills for community development by establishing a sustainable program of socially useful learning and cooperation with CSOs and between faculties. The project includes students and teachers from two faculties and 20 associations in which the method of socially useful learning at the eight courses will be implemented.
