Fourth training-block of Academy of sustainable development for teachers held in Split
Fourth training-block of Academy of sustainable development for teachers was organized in Split on 2nd and 3rd of October October 2020, as a part of the project Thinking sustainable – teaching youth for sustainable development. 30 teachers from partner schools participated live or via Zoom in a workshop on formal training experiences in the field of sustainable development and organizing volunteer actions.
The first day was dedicated to numerous and inspiring examples of good practice of sustainable local development in the synergy of civil, academic, public and private sectors.
Participants were informed about experiences and examples of formal training in the field of sustainable development.
During the second day, we talked about organizing volunteer actions and interventions in the community. The concept of sustainable tourism – volunteerism was presented. It is a type of tourism that combines traditional travel with volunteer work. Tourists are given opportunities to contribute financially and / or invested time to contribute to solving some problems in the areas they come to. At the end of the working day we visited the Salon.
