Second training-block of “School for good governance and participatory development”held in Primošten

On 24th and 25th of September 2015 the second training-block of "School for good governance and participatory development" was held in Primošten, in the framework of ODRAZ's partner project "For good governance at local level: education, support and promotion"

28 stakeholders from the areas of four counties participated in the training: Sisak-Moslavina County, Šibenik-Knin County, Zagreb County and the City of Zagreb. Participants are representatives of non-governmental organizations, including LAGs, cities and municipalities, companies and other organizations.

A program of the workshops was dedicated to the topic of local development planning - starting with the basics of planning, followed by analytical methods and techniques for the evaluation of needs and ending with elements of strategic planning. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about forms and possibilities of greater citizen involvement in the planning- and decision-making processes.

NGO ZvoniMir presented their work and experience as a good practice example of the development of social services in the area of the Šibenik-Knin County, with the emphasis on possibilities of employment through social entrepreneurship.

The program ended with the deliberation of project ideas and possibilities for partner projects.
