Look at the new ODRAZ film “Citizens know best – participation of citizens in the decision-making process”!

What is it that motivates citizens to participate - finances, ideology, faith? Or are they motivated by something else - problems and questions on which the future of the community in which they live depends? Do citizens have the right to participate in decision-making which is going to influence their life? Find out in the newest short film prepared by ODRAZ.

The film shows in a simple manner how problems in community can be solved together. Informing of citizens, collecting of opinions and suggestions and consultation through public discussion and dialogue work to open possibilities of agreement about the best solutions - because citizens know best!

Citizen participation is a process through which citizens impact public decisions which concern their lives and lives of the other citizens - it makes those who decide more reliable and the decision-making process more transparent.

Citizens should have the possibility to point out the problems and to express their opinion, and governments should take into consideration the opinion of the citizens.

Directing, illustration, animation and music of the film was made by ODRAZ's longtime collaborator Natko Stipančev.The script for the film was written, along with Natko Stipančev, by Lidija Pavić-Rogošić, Višnja Jelić Mück and Zlata Mück Sušec.
